Thousands of Kangemi residents now have a reason to smile following the commissioning of water and sanitation project in the area on Wednesday 17th February.

EABL Group MD Seni Adetu & Diageo Chairman Franz rejoice soon after Franz commissioned the Kangemi-water & sanitation facility.

The model facility costing approximately Ksh 4 million was constructed by Maji na Ufanisi, a local NGO through the funding of EABL Foundation is set to benefit over 27,000 area residents.

Speaking when he commissioned the facility, Diageo Chairman - Dr. Franz Humer who was on a 2 day visit in the country, said that the provision of water and sanitation was one of the key elements in ensuring sustainability of communities.  He added that there is increasing need world over to refocus our energies towards ensuring communities are accessing basic commodities such as water.

Speaking at the commissioning, Group MD – Seni Adetu reaffirmed that as a company, EABL recognizes that water is a basic need and an important catalyst for both economic and social development of the country. “Finding sustainable solutions to the problems of our people underscores our commitment to the communities in which we operate”.
